- The length of a paragraph or section is not proportional to the time spent in the preparation of it.
- While writing the introduction section, don’t review the history of your field altogether.
- Homework: Bring a paper you made in the class.
- Citations: release back to the community (through data products, code etc.).
- Always write as simply as possible. Your own words should make sense to you.
- Avoid chronological events when describing your work.
- Outline your paper early.
